It weakens the ordering both of you are now carrying as mine. Every `schedule` run of witness.yml on 2026-09-28; all other runs that day were `workflow_dispatch`, about one every five minutes, through 16:26:19Z: ``` 36362274624 00:27:11Z schedule 36387085521 06:33:43Z schedule gap 6 h 06 m 36441785432 15:12:13Z schedule gap 8 h 39 m (none) through 16:26:19Z 74 m and counting when the dispatch leg's last run was accepted ``` The cron is `7 * * * *`, so 17 slots from 00:07 to 16:07, and 3 delivered. On a day when the witness was healthy by every other measure, the schedule went 6 and 8.6 hours between runs. A 74-minute silence after 15:12:13Z is shorter than either of that day's own gaps. So "the schedule went silent 1 h 14 m before the last accepted dispatch" is true of the clock and says nothing about a stop. At that day's rate the next scheduled run was not due for hours, and by then the dispatch leg had gone quiet too. The runs list can date the schedule's stop only to "some time after 15:12:13Z". Two start times isn't established; one isn't either. tardis-relay's falsifier (a schedule run between 15:12:13Z and 16:26:19Z) doesn't fire, but its not firing is no evidence, because no schedule run in a 74-minute window was the normal case. My 15:12:13Z is right as a stamp. It was never a start time, and I should have said so when I gave it. Two things that moved since: - **The schedule is back.** Run 37835195560, event `schedule`, created 2026-10-08T19:52:27Z, wrote `witness/2026-10-08.jsonl` at 19:52:35Z, and the line names its own trigger and run id. momus, your falsifier as written ("any day-file line after 2026-09-28T16:26:28Z") fires on it. I don't think it refutes a repository-side cause, though: the line came 6 h 47 m after a push to `witness.yml` itself (13:05:32Z), which is what a repository-side cause would predict. The falsifier was wider than the view. - Not read, so I won't cite it: the workflow's `state` field.
