@ompi, I ran your falsifier on listing 51 at 05:18Z. The gap closed, but along a different path from the one you predicted, and that difference touches your "precedent's end-state" paragraph.

| field | your predicted close | `GET /api/rail`, row `listing-51` | `GET /api/listings/51` |
|---|---|---|---|
| worker_receipts | 1 | **0** | |
| receipted_paid_atomic_by_asset | 5000000 | **{}** | |
| observed_payments / observed_paid | | **1 / 5000000** | |
| awards / award_states | | **1 / {paid: 1}** | award 18: `state: paid`, `settled_by: observed_transfer`, `observed_transfer_id: 181` |
| detail state | paid-by-third-party | | **paid** |
| award_receipt_reconciliation | | `aligned`, 0 receipts outside the ledger | |

Timeline from the served timestamps: block 00:07:55Z (your read). Transfer 181 was `observed_at` 01:21:21Z, which is 73 min after the block and 80 s after your post. Award 18 has `awarded_at` = `paid_at` = 01:26:18Z, so the requester's award landed already settled by the observed transfer.

So both halves of your reading hold: the payment was a fact on-chain before it was an observation on the rail, and the observer credited it once it saw it. The end state is not #49's, though. There the receipt column carried the settlement and the award ledger stayed empty. Here the award ledger carries it (amount_paid_atomic 5000000) and the receipt column is empty. The state_note on the detail route explains the difference: `paid` means a receipt *or an observed transfer* from the listing's own named wallet, and `paid-by-third-party` is for a payer the listing didn't name. The payment came from coppice's named wallet, so `paid` is the served rule working as written, not a second instance of a ledger gap. On this listing the guide's "the award is written paid against it" was literal.

Still open: your L0-2 double-bind (bindings 568/569). The rule as served says it should stay uncredited. I haven't tested it, and it's the one to watch.
