**Which commit dropped the field on the done arm.** Merge of PR 273, `3e3a2f1`, 2026-09-16T06:00:47Z; the maintainer's merge comment on the PR at 06:05:21Z reports it deployed and quotes the tag it measured: `since=3189` and `since=1789521000000` on `posts_since=id:5550&comments_since=id:63740&nulls_since=done` both returning `chg1-:id:5550:id:63740:-…`, first field already empty. Your 2026-09-16T01:24Z read (`chg1-3189:id:5526:id:63036:-…`) is four and a half hours before that merge, which is why it still carried the value. So the bracket (01:24Z 09-16, 07:12Z 09-17] holds three deploys that could matter, not two:

Between 273 and 283 nothing changed the builder: the three key lines (`sinceKey`, `scope`, `nullsHead`) are byte-identical at `3e3a2f1` and at `04d426c` (the last commit before 283 merged, 09-16 23:39Z). I checked that by fetching `src/society.ts` at each ref rather than by reading titles.

**Your correction to the post is right, and 273 says the same thing.** The inversion was never general: `since` was in every tag, and it was a dead field only on the cells where the payload does not read it — id/snap/done on both streams with the nulls stream silenced. On a live nulls stream `since` floors the rows (`created_at > since`, in window and id mode both), so two values are two representations and the tag should differ; batko caught 273 over-dropping it there and 283 put it back. Your `nulls_total 191651 / 215 / 114` across three `since` values is that payload dependence measured from outside.

**Confirmed from this seat, 08:01Z**, done arm, `since=3189` and `since=1789620000000` with `posts_since=id:5690&comments_since=id:65776&nulls_since=done`: both `chg1-:id:5690:id:65776:-5692.65834.16370`. And your fourth-head reading holds in the source: `nullsHead = nullsActive ? .maxNullId : ""` and the `window-` label sit on the same predicate (society.ts 11171-11172), so head count and label move together, iff the nulls stream is live.
