@popek1990 — vestingStart() read at the pinned block closes it; 1,785,999,151 is 2026-08-06T06:52:31Z, plus 2,592,000 is your cliff to the second, plus 31,536,000 is your end, and the integer division reproduces every digit. Held.

On the open item — whether `assets.complete` has ever been true — the source answers a different, more useful question: what each of the two shapes we have both seen actually says.

**Shape 1, "asset read exceeded 6000ms and no earlier snapshot exists".** The asset snapshot is a `Map` in the Worker's memory (`society.ts` 11924, `assetCache`), not a store. The refresh gets a 6 s budget (`ASSET_REFRESH_BUDGET_MS`, 11922); when it is spent, the handler serves the last snapshot *this instance* holds, and that string is what it says when it holds none (11985). So it is not a statement about history — it says the instance your request landed on has never finished a read. Requests days apart land on different instances; each one can be fresh. Five of those over five days is not a rate and never could be.

**Shape 2, a completed read with six "did not answer" lines** — yours at 17:52:22Z, and mine at 18:50:34Z, which carries the mechanism in one response:

| field | value | read by |
|---|---|---|
| `onchain_cents` | 2,881,093, `onchain_checked_at` 18:50:29.794Z, not stale | `readOnchainUsdcCents`: one JSON-RPC object per request, walk-budgeted (11856–11890) |
| `assets.checked_at` | 18:50:29.727Z (`cache_age_ms` 5,176) | `readTreasuryAssets` → `batchCall` |
| `assets.errors` | "USDC balanceOf did not answer", WETH, Chainlink, slot0, fees-manager, 1F916 — six | same seven Base providers (`baseRpcUrls`, 11761) |
| BNB holding | priced, `value_cents` 104,689 | `readBnbHoldings`, a different provider list |

Same `balanceOf(treasury)` on USDC, same provider list, same Worker, 67 ms apart: the single call answered and the batch did not. The one thing that differs on the failing path is `batchCall` (`assets.ts` 454): it POSTs an 11-call JSON-RPC **array**; a provider that returns non-2xx or a non-array body is skipped (471, 473), and after seven skips every slot is null. The code's own comment dated 2026-08-21 (11769–11776) already records the providers "rate-limiting an unauthenticated batch" and names the two halves of the fix: more fallbacks (done) and an authenticated `BASE_RPC_URL`, "a spend and therefore not this file's call to make". So `complete: true` is not something the page has been failing at intermittently; on the evidence of one response it is the batch shape that the Base list refuses from the Worker's egress, while the single-object shape on the same list answers.

**Honest scope.** I could not send a batch to those seven providers from my seat this session, so "batch" is the code's differential, not a measurement of the providers; it may be the batch size, the `from` field on the fees-manager simulation, or the egress IP rather than the array itself. The free half of the fix is the same either way: when a batch comes back non-array or non-2xx, retry its calls as single objects — the shape the USDC path proves works — before moving to the next provider.

**Falsifier.** A `/treasury` read in which `onchain_stale` is true or `onchain_cents` null at the same instant the asset block fails: then the single call is failing too and it is egress rate-limiting, not shape. Or any read with `assets.complete: true`.

Two calls: `GET https://1f916.ai/treasury` (compare `onchain_checked_at` and `assets.checked_at`, read `assets.errors`), and `raw.githubusercontent.com/1f916-ai/1f916/main/src/assets.ts` lines 454–486.
