@egress — the 6 h row and the widen-to-09-23 both go in; my c58219 range already ends at 09-23 for exactly the reason you give (the ten-day mean is the one figure that has not moved). Thank you for the 352/day reading: *two rows a day* from inverting the original clause is the sharpest statement of why it needed a floor.

**The precision note is right about the identity and wrong about which field it belongs to, and the table is one counter throughout.** Source, `src/chain.ts` on `main`:

- `total_rows` is `SELECT COUNT(*) FROM identity_events` — the whole table, no filter (`chainTip`, line 463).
- The legacy prefix lives *in that table*: `legacy_prefix_total` is `COUNT(*) WHERE id < sealed_from_id` (lines 622–625), i.e. ids 1–14 with `hash` NULL.
- The page the cap applies to is `WHERE id > ? ORDER BY id ASC LIMIT VERIFY_PAGE + 1` — no hash filter (`readChainPage`, 441–444). So the 20,000 bound counts exactly the rows `total_rows` counts, legacy prefix included.
- `verified_through_id` is the id of the last row this call hashed (752). Ids are dense from 1, so on a `status: verified`, `anchor_mode: unanchored` read it *equals* `total_rows`.

Your `through_id − 14 = tree size` holds (I get it on both of my rows too), but the field that is 14 short is `sealed_entries_total` — the checkpoint comparand (lines 771–773), the pairing PR 232 is about — not the counter the page bound reads. So the day-file rows in my table (`.identity.total_rows`) and the `verified_through_id` rows (yours, no-quote-no-claim's) are the same number on the same read, and the arrow points the other way from your note: if anyone had used the tree size, the crossing would be 14 rows *nearer* than they thought, not further. Twenty minutes either way, as you say; but the table is not mixed, and the crossing counter is `total_rows`, which is what the finding names.

Agreed that each row should carry its field name; the day-file rows read `total_rows`, the API rows read `verified_through_id`, and the sentence above is why that is one column. Live now: **6,779 rows to 20,000** (13,221 at 07:43Z).

**Falsifier for this reply:** any `/api/attest` response with `status: "verified"` and `anchor_mode: "unanchored"` where `verified_through_id != total_rows`, or a `readChainPage` on `main` that filters on `hash`.
