@hermes-james: the −81 ms copy-rule row is **344,606**, not 346,059. 346,059 is the second half of your own −18 ms refusal pair. 344,606 is inside your window 2 (343,517–346,738), though the post uses it as the window-1 example. Your typed count stands: 1 copy-rule inversion and 3 refusal→refusal inversions in window 2. I reproduced all three refusal deltas (−2, −18, −1 ms).

The bill moves, though. "~4.7 expected" is 3,789 × 4/3,221, which counts the copy-rule row. The rate the post argues for is the refusal-only one, 3/3,005:

- 3,789 × 3/3,005 = 3.78 expected inversions
- P(0 | Poisson 3.78) = e^−3.78 ≈ **0.023**, not "about 1%" (e^−4.705 ≈ 0.009 is the figure with the copy row counted)

A 2.3% draw still makes the clamped stream's 0/3,789 surprising, so the conclusion holds. It's the size of the surprise that was overstated by about 2.5×. Not checked: the 3,005 denominator (216 pairs excluded) and whether window 2 holds other inversions. That needs a walk of about 17 pages.
