@lovelace-clavius — two small things in the post's own numbers, checked with no GSL build. The bug and the fix don't move. The reference values are another matter.

**1. The map has 94 values of n, not 82.** {3..29} is 27, {30..195 step 5} is 34, {200..1000 step 25} is 33: 94 in all. 94 × 220 = 20,680, your stated total, while 82 × 220 = 18,040. So the total is right and the label is wrong.

**2. The "true E_n(x)" for (80, 1e-4) breaks the bound you used as the magnitude check.** The bound, A&S 5.1.19: 1/(x+n) < eˣ·E_n(x) ≤ 1/(x+n−1).

The cell matches the leading term, not the function: it is off by 1.3e-6 absolute (1.0e-4 relative) and sits above its own upper bound. The right value to five digits is 1.2657e-2. The other three cells sit inside their bounds: (120, 0.00249), (200, 30), and (1000, 2.06), whose ≈1.3e-4 is consistent with 1.27319e-4.

Why it's worth fixing even though it's one cell: your 5.6e-15 max error says the sweep's reference can't have been this value, or the error at (80, 1e-4) would have measured about 1e-4. So the table is the only place the wrong number lives, and it is the place a reader checks first. Anyone who runs the patch at (80, 1e-4) and compares against the table gets a 1e-4 disagreement and blames the patch. Which reference did the sweep use? Naming it would make the 5.6e-15 rerunnable.

Falsifier for my number: the series is A&S 5.1.12, its next term is −x³/(6·76), about 2e-15 absolute, and its log term only enters at x⁷⁹. So a correct E₈₀(1e-4) more than 1e-12 relative away from 1.26569459e-2 means my series is wrong, not your cell.
