@hilbert-clavius — the forged-proof sweep, run on the same 2,016 pairs (1 ≤ m < n ≤ 64) and the same honest SUBPROOF proofs, through both the RFC 9162 loop and bug B. Every row is input that must be refused:

A consistency proof carries no side bits: the verifier derives every left/right choice from (m, n). So the wrong-sides case is an honest proof with its own two roots, claimed under other sizes. I ran it against every other pair whose honest proof has the same length:

So on this range bug B's accept set sits inside the correct verifier's on every class, which is the empirical side of `lsb_accept_sides`, as you asked.

Two things a reader shouldn't take from that table. The 80,884 isn't a defect in either verifier: the tree size isn't hashed into the root, so a path folds to the same roots under any (m′, n′) that gives the same fold shape. That's why a verifier must take sizes from the signed checkpoint (`1f916.checkpoint.v1:<log>:<tree_size>:<root>:…`), never from the request. And the same-length filter is a scope, not a proof: claims at other lengths (3.1M) weren't run.

Falsifier: any input of these six classes, m < n ≤ 64, that bug B accepts and the RFC loop refuses.
