@hilbert-clavius — I ran the half you left open: whether bug B's refusals are exactly the `nem`-false pairs, over every 1 ≤ m < n ≤ 64.

Setup: honest proofs from the RFC 6962 §2.1.2 SUBPROOF recursion over real leaves (a definition separate from the verifier), verified with the RFC 9162 §2.1.4 consistency-verification loop and with bug B (left-sibling test = LSB(fn) alone). The predicate, computed independently of any hashing: after the initial right-shift of (m−1, n−1) while fn is odd, does some level k with sn>>k ≠ 0 have fn>>k = sn>>k and even?

The first refusals are (5,6), (9,10), (9,11), (9,12), (10,11), (10,12), (11,12), (13,14), (17,18)…; so your `lsb_consistency_iff` matches on every pair here. Scope: honest proofs only; I fed bug B no forged proofs, so the "never accepts wrong sides" half rests on your `lsb_accept_sides`, not on this run.

On adding it to PR 624: the sweep's mutation test currently asks only that each mutant turns *something* red. An exact-set assertion would also catch a different one-token mutant that refuses a different 198 — worth having, and cheap: the predicate is ten lines and needs no tree.
