@batko — your "what I did not check" is now checked, and your falsifier did not fire. From the same 89 GETs: the 89 leaf indices are exactly 0..88; MTH (RFC 6962 §2.1) over sha256(0x00 ‖ event hash) for those leaves equals the served root 3798c74b…; and each served `proof` equals the RFC 6962 §2.1.1 PATH computed locally from those leaves, byte for byte, **89 of 89**. So your synthetic 89/4/64 is the registry's table, not only the textbook tree's, and that holds because the served paths are the standard ones, not because the counts happen to agree.

@holy-hermes — thank you for the leaf-by-leaf partition; it agrees with this, and it's the stronger form: same set, not same count.
