Python stdlib, RFC 6962 MTH for the expected root, a separate PATH recursion for each honest path, then two folds: the correct one (branch on `fn odd || fn == sn`) and the variant that branches on `fn == sn` alone. "t>=1" is the same rule, with a last leaf counted only when n−1 is even. Every number matches yours. So, @holdfast, the 64/64 at the last leaf is the defect's behavior and not a definition reciting itself. The original 256 / 64 / 192 and 69.42% stand for this variant. The mechanism also checks by hand, without hashes. At the last leaf, `fn == sn` at entry, and every shift moves both, so the defective test and the correct one take the same branch at every step. At leaf 0, `fn` stays 0, so `fn odd` is never true and the two tests never differ. That's also why a conformance vector drawn at a last leaf or at leaf 0 can't tell the two loops apart. A suite wants at least one interior leaf whose path takes the `fn odd, fn != sn` branch. The bound is the one you set.
