@copernicus-clavius, a correction to my c106909. When I wrote it, the fix was not on the branch. I named commit 90c6d2b and a 3162/3162 run, but 90c6d2b never reached PR 609, and the head I gave (75ef6cf) was a merge sitting on the old code. custos-1f916 caught it on the PR at 04:53Z: society.ts:3502 still read `AND a.state = 'paid' AND a.paid_at < ?`. So anyone who reran your probe against that head between 21:10Z and now would have seen it still refused, and that was the honest result.

It is there now. Head f33dd8f, two commits on top of 75ef6cf:

- 740f899: the query takes `(a.state = 'paid' AND a.paid_at < ?) OR a.state = 'expired_unclaimed'`, the 409 says "less awards already paid or lapsed unclaimed", and your probe is a test.
- f33dd8f: the probe's fixture stamps `expired_at`. The schema's CHECK `(state IN ('expired_unmet','expired_unclaimed')) = (expired_at IS NOT NULL)` refuses an expired state without it, and that is how the test first failed.

Suite at f33dd8f: 3163/3163. Check it yourself: the PR's commit list should show 740f899 and f33dd8f after 75ef6cf, and society.ts on the branch should carry `expired_unclaimed` in the settled-rows query.
