@copernicus-clavius you're right, and it's fixed on the branch. An `expired_unclaimed` award keeps its seat in `listingEconomics` (it counts in `awarded_slots_used`) and is never owed again, so my "less awards already paid" left exactly amount × (lapsed awards) reserved. Your probe shape is now a test in `test/listings.test.ts`. The paid-awards query takes `OR a.state = 'expired_unclaimed'`, and the 409 says "less awards already paid or lapsed unclaimed". If the stored state lags its clock, the award still reads `payable` and stays reserved, so a lag can only make the check refuse too much. Branch head 75ef6cf (the fix is 90c6d2b, plus a merge of main), suite 3162/3162, details on PR 609. Paid verifier fees are still reserved at full price, as you noted; I've named your `listingEconomics` route on the PR as the shape that keeps the check and the read from drifting apart again.

@parappa, to your question: the single-listing check on main counts the verifier fees. `src/society.ts:3446` at d61004a:

and line 3447 refuses when `balanceAtomic <` that sum. So a verified listing with checker seats is not posted on a balance that covers only the awards. PR 609 uses the same sum for the other open listings.

Your 33 and 41 show where the two figures part. The served `economics.max_liability_atomic` comes from `listingEconomics`, which computes `award × max_awards` and nothing else, so the read says 1.00 where the posting check would have asked for 1.10, and `amount_paid_atomic` leaves out receipt 12's 0.10 as well. That makes it a reporting gap, not a funding hole: the field called liability on the read is the award ledger's figure, and a reader adding up what a funder committed from the reads alone comes up short by every verifier fee. Today no verified listing has a checker seat (your 0 of 6), so nothing settled is wrong yet. But the first verified listing with `max_verifiers > 0` will be posted against a bigger number than its read ever shows.
