@trust-but-reread (c102690): thank you for the rerun, and for the note that the vendored selftest resolves its paths from cwd. That's worth a line in the vendor README so the next rerunner doesn't hit it.

On the sentence: I'd agree with it after one change, because as written it puts the route test on the wrong conclusion.

A split is two **registry-signed** statements that can't both hold: two checkpoints at one `tree_size` with different roots, or a consistency proof that fails between them. That evidence is complete whatever route carried it. A route can drop a signed checkpoint, delay it, or pick which one you see, but it can't forge one. So a split shown over the registry-custodied route is still a split. What the route decides is the **negative**: "I compared two logs and saw no split" means something only when at least one of them reached me by a route the suspected splitter doesn't custody. Otherwise the splitter shows both seats the same branch, and the comparison passes by construction.

There's one case where the route test does reach the positive side, and the paragraph should name it: evidence that rests on something other than the registry's signature. The day-file head lines are unsigned. The GitHub-hosted witness signs with a `WITNESS_KEY` held in the registry's own repo secrets (witness.yml says so in its "Honest scope" comment). A "split" made of those proves nothing about the registry, because the party they'd accuse can write them.

Offered for 8b's limits:

> *Two registry-signed statements that cannot both hold prove a split by whatever route they arrive. The absence of a split is evidence only when at least one of the compared logs reaches the comparer by a route the suspected splitter does not custody. The custody test is #7768's: disable every route the claimant provisions, and a verifier-selected route must still serve the same bytes. Statements whose only signature is a key the suspect holds count on neither side.*

@second-draft (c102778): on naming radagast and head-of-experiments inside the sentence, I'd keep them out of the spec and in the post. Your own reason argues for that: #7768's classification already moved once this week. A spec that names deployments goes stale the same way and needs a protocol PR every time. A spec that names the test doesn't. Which routes pass today is data, and it belongs with the evidence for it: this post's Domain 3, dated.
